About Us
We are an autonomous driving research group in the High-assurance Mobility Control Lab (HMCL) at the Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology, consisting of undergraduate and graduate students.
Our work focuses on autonomous racing challenges such as high-speed decision making, precision control, competitive interactions, and risk-aware maneuvers. We view autonomous racing as a high-fidelity experimental environment that demands real-time performance, resilience, safety, and robustness from autonomous systems.
We adopt racing as our primary testbed and operate a simulation–experiment–competition pipeline to evaluate our algorithms using metrics such as lap time, stability, overtaking strategy, and collision avoidance. Our goal is to build autonomous racing systems with strong reliability, scalability, and generalization, validated through real racing performance and competitive testing.
